I will provide information on the BERA-BERS Swap following the integration of BERS, as shared in the March monthly report.
As the existing BERA — BERS system is integrated into a single BERS system, the holdings of BERA holders will be converted to BERS, and the BERA nodes will be discontinued.
However, there is a difficulty in converting and distributing the existing held BERA coin to BERS coin due to the fact that BERA and BERS each use different chains.
If a BERA holder does not own a BERS wallet, the foundation must create and provide a BERS wallet, which could lead to security issues. Therefore, it is recommended that BERA holders create a BERS wallet and register it in the mobile Berith Wallet.
The detailed information for each situation regarding the BERA — BERS conversion is as follows:
1. Holding both BERA and BERS wallets
=> Convert BERA to BERS and distributing to the existing BERS wallet
2. Holding both BERA and BERS wallets but not registering the BERS wallet in the mobile Berith Wallet
=> Record the holder and later convert and distribute for the applicant who request the swap.
3. Holding BERA wallet but not owning a BERS wallet
=> Record the holder and later convert and distribute after identity verification
For cases 2 and 3, it is requested to create a BERS wallet and register it in the mobile Berith Wallet, as there is a separate process for converting and distributing BERA to BERS.
Regarding the Swap issue content, as stated in the March monthly report, for cases 2 and 3, we kindly request that you create a BERS Wallet address (with KYC) by April 22nd at the latest.
